Current Positions

Design Architect - Cairns & Townsville Offices

Enthusiastic architect with strong skills in Client relationships and an understanding of working requirements in regional Queensland.

We require an enthusiastic architect with strong skills in design, documentation and who possesses good commercial flair. Knowledge of Revit is important. Experience with projects in remote communities would be an advantage but is not essential.

Our Peddle Thorp Far North Office specialises in the Education, Health,  Public buildings and Interior Design and is well supported by our Brisbane office.  We also seek an individual who understands how to effectively contribute and fit in to the culture of a small regional office.

Interior Designer

Peddle Thorp is currently seeking to appoint an Interior Designer with a minimum of 5 years commercial project experience to be part of our Interior Design Team who work on a variety of Commercial, Healthcare, Retail and Civic building projects.  We also aim to employ professionals who are keen to contribute in work groups to achieve continuous improvement and innovation in our processes and technology.

The role of Interior Designer will require you to work to tight deadlines and be capable of producing accurate construction documentation to a high standard.  You must be able to work as part of a team as well as undertake tasks autonomously.  A keen eye for design, detail and advanced knowledge and experience of construction is paramount.

Peddle Thorp possesses a strong commercial and institutional reputation throughout Australia and internationally.  The practice is well regarded for providing a high quality of service and excellence in design with a vibrant and talented team offering specialist expertise.

Peddle Thorp is a leader in the implementation of BIM workflow to promote true collaboration between disciplines, consultants, contractors and clients.  It is therefore expected that you are proficient in Revit.  An understanding of the Adobe Creative Cloud applications is also desirable.

It is also important that you are able to efficiently apply current local building codes and Australian Standards (including current DDA legislation) to projects.

Project Administration Specialist

Peddle Thorp is currently seeking to appoint a Project Administration Specialist with a minimum of 5 years project administration experience.  You will need to be comfortable with an automated administration environment and have a keen drive to become a champion to the users of the system. 

We will provide the assistance that you will require to learn the functionality of the software so that over time you will control all aspects of administration required by the Project Teams including:  managing the program records and contractual documentation,  assisting with commercial management of sub-consultants, managing the planning aspects of our projects (revenue, cash, resource allocation, procurement), reporting on the financial performance of the projects and proactively identifying opportunities to implement efficiencies and process improvement. 

You will be required as part of your role to assist with writing Tender responses so it is essential that you will be proficient with Microsoft Office tools.  Knowledge of Adobe In-Design document graphic presentation skills would be good but not essential.
