The renewal of 3 Montpelier Road has established a new industrial aesthetic which complements the urban renewal of the Breakfast Creek Road precinct. Opening up of the former warehousing elements has visually lighted the building image. Finer detailing through the introduction of shading and awning elements reduced the apparent bulk of the large building ensemble. The play of filtered light through the sunshading changes the appearance of the building throughout the day.
Thoughtful detailing and reuse of structures has ensured a highly economical renewal solution.
Improvements to the street relationship has enhanced the connectivity to the precinct and complementary materials and colour palette respects and relates to the adjacent precinct developments.
