The conversion of the former 3 storey saddlery building was a challenge to retain the character of the unique spaces whilst balancing against the requirements to create a home and office.

An new open stair, lit from above, joins all levels and brings in plentyfill light and air movement into the dark timber interiors. New light coloured walls contrast against the restored timber floors, posts and saddlery making timber features.

The building is also the office for the client and a shop front was re-established as the public face to the company with a separate private entry for the home.
