The World Tianjin - Oceania - Villas
Tianjin, China

The villas reflect the shell form of the Nautilus shell, used here as roof forms. The villas are large casual, Australian-style corporate homes, growing out of the red-earth rock formations of Australia’s outback. Each house is slightly different but combine to produce a dramatic sweeping shell-like sculpture floating on the lake.

A family wing with comfortable living spaces and bedrooms, a shared kitchen/ services area, and a large dramatic ‘corporate’ wing with office space, meeting rooms, formal dining spaces and entertainment lounges, and extraordinary outdoor spaces overlook the swimming pools and lake.

The clear division of formal and informal spaces reflects the Australian lifestyle, and also provides a flexibility for corporate use and ownership.

The larger villa has been particularly designed for corporate ownership, and all villas could be operated together with the hotel.
