The Sarina Hospital Redevelopment delivers a new hospital to the Sarina regional, replacing the current facility and relocating the hospital to a flatter, more easily accessible site.
The project consists of 3 new buildings across the site, as well as extensive site works to create onsite carparking, dedicated ambulance drop off and landscaping.
The 4 buildings include a Clinical Services Building, onsite staff accommodation and an engineering services building.
The Clinical Services Building includes a 19-bed inpatient ward unit; Emergency Department, including Medical Imaging Department, pathology collection and patient treatment zones and community and allied health services, including a rehab gym, dedicated telehealth services and dental services.
The staff accommodation building consists of a combination of 1 & 2 bedroom units with ensuites, external spaces and dedicated parking. The accommodation area will allow for staff visiting the regional hospital to stay on site.
The separate engineering services building is designed to provide increased resilience in the event of inclement weather.
The project is currently under construction and is due for completion in mid 2024.
