Peddle Thorp was corecipient of a 2023 Australian Good Design Award, with the ceremony taking place last Friday Night in Melbourne.

Dr Matthew Hutchinson has been representing Peddle Thorp’s involvement with the Housing Action Lab (HAL) for the Homeness Trust Blueprint team receiving the award for Social Impact at the ceremony.

Peddle Thorp and fellow HAL team members; QShelter (Principal Sponsor), Committee for Brisbane, Urbis, Meals on Wheels, QCoss and Brisbane Zero facilitated by Business Models Inc. were awarded a Green Tick Good Design gong for the Homeness Trust Blueprint concept, a potential road map toward eradication of homelessness leading up to and beyond the 2032 Olympic Games. The Homeness Trust Blueprint offers a framework for the creation of a trust vehicle or similar entity to become the nexus between the housing needs of the community, government, and the private sector.

The Good Design Awards are an internationally recognised accolade endorsing products and concepts which demonstrate and offer Good Design, Design Innovation and Design Impact.
