The Canossa Residential Services Facility (located in Trebonne, 8 kilometres from the town of Ingham), provides a mixture of High and Low Care residential living for the aged. The existing
facility included a modern 40 bed care facility which was primarily designed as a low care service, also offering a portion as dementia care.

However since its completion, the facility has experienced a growing need to house high-care residents. With the adjoining Nursing Home on the site becoming obsolete, the natural selection for the site of a new High Care Residential Aged Care facility was obvious.

The new 24 bed High Care RACF comprises four sub-units of 6 rooms each in a new care model, sharing common living and back-of-house areas. Interconnectivity to the existing buildings and infrastructure with convenient access to the Administrative Offices, Kitchen and Laundry areas was also paramount as part of the design considerations for Peddle Thorp in the design of the new extension. The outcome is highly successful, blending seamlessly into the existing village and creating functional new spaces for all residents to enjoy.
